I'm a twenty-four year old Japanese/American mixed girl living in Shanghai, China on scholarship. I'm getting my M.A. in Chinese Philosophy under the tutelage of an acclaimed philosopher/scholar and I feel ridiculously blessed and lucky for this opportunity. On the side I study vocal music semi-seriously (a.k.a. I take my lessons seriously, but I'm not enrolled in school for it) and I work as an ESL teacher part-time. My hobbies are playing the guzheng, writing, playing video games, surfing the internet, and of course: drawing.
When I was a child, I used to draw all the time. I drew my own comics and whatnot, but I eventually found that I liked writing better. Not sure why, maybe it's because I just have a way with words. But I never really surrendered art altogether.
With my crazy schedule I don't have much time to draw. Most of my time is spent buried in a philosophy (or Chinese-language) book and any other free time is generally dedicated to music. However, I do hope to change that in the future, whenever that may or may not occur.
